WV Spirits Council

WV Spirits Council a division of WV Retailers Association dedicated to address liquor industry issues on behalf of spirits retailers, brokers and distillers. Since 1990 when West Virginia privatized the liquor industry WVRA has been working on behalf of retail liquor store owners.  West Virginia is one of only 18 control states in the nation.  In December of 2010 WVRA recognized the need for a uniform voice to fully represent the spirits industry and formed the WV Spirits Council. This division supports the interests of the WV Wholesale and Retail Beverage Committee and the Distillers and Brokers Committee.

The WV Wholesale and Retail Beverage Committee members are made up of the retail liquor license holders across West Virginia.  The Distillers and Brokers Committee is comprised of both spirits brokers who support the industry statewide and distillers from across the nation.

The goal of the WV Spirits Council is to positively promote the spirits industry in West Virginia working with local, state, and national government entities and organizations.
